Over 8 crore manuscripts digitised under Gyan Bharatam Mission : Mansukh Mandaviya

New Delhi ( Raghwendra Pratap Singh) : Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya has said that over eight crore manuscripts have been digitised under the Gyan Bharatam Mission.

Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha today, Dr Mandaviya said that the Modi government has launched the Gyan Bharatam Mission to preserve and digitise manuscripts to facilitate research and make them accessible to the public.

He said, under this mission, a survey of over one crore manuscripts has been conducted across the country. The Minister informed that over three lakh 74 thousand manuscripts have already been uploaded.
