Actress Dimple Kapadia turns 69 today

New Delhi ( The Indian View team): Dimple Kapadia is an iconic Indian actress known for her staggering versatility, timeless beauty, and bold career choices. Discovered at age 14, she rocketed to superstardom in Bobby (1973), took a 12-year hiatus to focus on her family, and later reinvented herself as a powerhouse performer across both commercial and art-house cinema.

After stepping away from acting to marry superstar Rajesh Khanna, she returned to the screen following their separation and delivered a career-defining performance in Saagar.

She pushed boundaries with critically lauded performances in art-house and parallel cinema, winning the National Film Award for Best Actress for her deeply moving portrayal in Rudaali (1993).

Kapadia expanded her international footprint by starring as the arms dealer Priya Singh in Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster sci-fi thriller Tenet (2020).
