NCB with Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force bust ganja trafficking network in Varanasi

Lucknow ( Raghwendra Pratap Singh) : The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in a joint operation with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force, has busted a ganja trafficking network in Varanasi.

Acting on specific intelligence, the NCB seized 124 kilograms of Ganja from the godown of a courier company at Jagatpur in Varanasi and apprehended a drug trafficker.

The NCB said that the contraband packets were disguised with silk saree labels and receipts containing fictitious names and addresses to conceal their identity and avoid detection.

The seized contraband was sourced from Assam and destined to Ranipur, Mau, Uttar Pradesh. A case was registered under the relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
