CM Yogi Orders 110 E-Buses For Jewar Airport, Fast-Tracks UP Expressways

Lucknow ( Raghwendra Pratap Singh) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to fast-track transport and infrastructure preparations ahead of the opening of the Noida International Airport at Jewar, with a major focus on electric mobility.
At a review meeting of the State Transformation Commission on Wednesday (27 May), the Chief Minister instructed authorities to deploy 110 electric buses in the first phase to improve connectivity across Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region before commercial flight operations begin.
Officials informed the meeting that Uttar Pradesh currently has nearly 15.5 lakh registered electric vehicles, while around 2,500 charging stations are operational.
He also asked departments to complete all public transport arrangements by 15 June. The state government is simultaneously accelerating the rollout of electric vehicle infrastructure.

The state has set a target of establishing 10,000 EV charging stations by 2030. Infrastructure projects linked to industrial growth and logistics also figured prominently during the review.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to speed up land acquisition for several expressway projects, including the Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link Expressway, Jewar Link Expressway and Jhansi Link Expressway, with a deadline set for the end of June.
