T.N. CM Vijay visits Kollur Mookambika Temple, offers silver sword to deity

New Delhi ( Abhishek Singh) : During his first visit to Karnataka after taking charge, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay visited Kollur Mookambika Temple in Udupi district on Friday and offered a silver sword to the presiding deity.

According to sources, the sword weighed 1.6 kg and he offered a special pooja at the temple in the afternoon. Kollur Mookambika Temple is in Udupi district.

The temple management committee offered him a ‘Poorna Kumabha Kalasha’ welcome on his arrival at the temple in the afternoon. He was in the temple for about 20 minutes, during which he offered a special pooja to the Goddess Mookambika.

In the past, late MG Ramachandran and late J Jayalalitha visited the temple during their tenure as the Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu.
