Indian National Killed in Iran Drone Strike on Kuwait Airport

New Delhi ( The Indian View team) : In a strike launched by Iran targeting American military bases in the Gulf countries marks another escalation to the conflict and threatening their ceasefire. In this drone attack, 1 person has been killed, and a number of Iranian drones hit the passenger building, T1, at Kuwait airport. Embassy of India in Kuwait expresses its deepest condolences at the tragic demise of an Indian national due to an attack on the airport in Kuwait today,” said Indian embassy in Kuwait on X.

The Embassy is in touch with the bereaved family and is closely coordinating with the Kuwaiti authorities to render all possible support and assistance to the bereaved family as well as those injured in the incident,” it added.
Earlier, An Iranian drone and missile struck Kuwait’s international airport, and multiple injuries were reported due to this attack. The flights were suspended and diverted after the attack. According to the reports, this attack hit the T1 building at the airport, and flights were diverted to alternative airports.

However, the US had earlier said that it intercepted multiple Iranian drones in Kuwait, moments after the announcement of ‘self-defence’ strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island, responding to the waves of Iranian ballistic missiles fired at Kuwait and Bahrain.
Meanwhile, the US military said it intercepted multiple drones targeting American forces in Kuwait and that Iranian missiles fired toward the country fell apart en route. It also said US and Bahraini forces intercepted missiles and drones aimed at Bahrain, home to the US Navy’s 5th Fleet. In response, the US launched strikes on an Iranian military ground control station on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Both Washington and Tehran said their actions were retaliatory, as tensions continued to strain efforts to preserve a fragile regional ceasefire.
