{"id":2694,"date":"2026-07-19T08:43:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-19T03:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theindianview.in\/en\/?p=2694"},"modified":"2026-07-19T08:43:14","modified_gmt":"2026-07-19T03:13:14","slug":"amarnath-vaishno-devi-yatras-temporarily-suspended-due-to-rough-weather-forecast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theindianview.in\/en\/amarnath-vaishno-devi-yatras-temporarily-suspended-due-to-rough-weather-forecast\/","title":{"rendered":"Amarnath &amp; Vaishno Devi Yatras temporarily suspended due to rough weather forecast"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kashmir ( The Indian View Team) : <\/strong>In Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra will remain suspended from both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes from today as a precautionary measure in view of the adverse weather forecast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> An official said the decision was taken following the India Meteorological Department\u2019s forecast of inclement weather over the next few days to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official said no onwards movement of yatris will be allowed from the Baltal and Nunwan\/Chandanwari base camps until further orders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Yatra will resume after the routes are declared safe following a comprehensive assessment of the weather conditions, the official added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far, over 3.7 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at the Holy Cave Shrine during the ongoing Shri Amarnathji Yatra. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s yatra, which started on July 3, will conclude after 57 days on August 28, coinciding with Shravan Purnima and Raksha Bandhan festivals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kashmir ( The Indian View Team) : In Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra will remain suspended from both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes from today as a precautionary measure in view of the adverse weather forecast.
