From August, train bookings will gradually move to a new Passenger Reservation System (PRS), replacing the platform that has been in use since 1986.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The move aims to improve train ticket booking, increase system capacity and offer a better experience for passengers. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw reviewed the progress at Rail Bhawan and instructed officials to ensure that passengers face no disruption during the transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current Passenger Reservation System was introduced in 1986 and has received only limited upgrades over the years.
