The state government believes that the amendments were necessary to align the policy with the evolving industrial landscape, investors&#8217; requirements, competition from other states, and the Government of India&#8217;s India Semiconductor Mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"994\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/theindianview.in\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/191466-994x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1508\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theindianview.in\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/191466-994x1024.jpg 994w, https:\/\/theindianview.in\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/191466-291x300.jpg 291w, https:\/\/theindianview.in\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/191466-768x791.jpg 768w, https:\/\/theindianview.in\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/191466.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 994px) 100vw, 994px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It may be noted that the Uttar Pradesh Semiconductor Policy-2024 was notified on January 19, 2024. The policy will remain effective for a period of five years from the date of notification. Through these amendments, the policy has been made more investor-friendly, enabling the state to attract large-scale investments in the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amendments will not impose any additional financial burden on the state government.
