New Delhi ( Raghwendra Pratap Singh) : <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Prahlad Joshi today said that the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed a penalty of \u20b97 lakh on a private coaching centre for misleading advertisements regarding the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023 results. He said the Authority has passed a final order under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a social media post, Mr Joshi said the action reinforces consumers\u2019 right to be informed and reflects the government\u2019s commitment to ensuring transparency, accountability and fair practices in the coaching sector. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister highlighted that the CCPA has so far issued more than 60 notices to coaching institutes and imposed penalties exceeding \u20b91.46 crore.
