Janhvi Kapoor Moves On After Peddi Row, Signs Next Film With Pagglait Director
Mumbai ( The Indian View team): Janhvi Kapoor is on a roll. A month after Peddi row, the actress has signed her next big film with Pagglait director Umesh Bist. This will be their first collaboration ever. Meanwhile, Janhvi has still not reacted to the controversy regarding Peddi where a section of netizens bashed the portrayal of her character, Achiyamma, accusing the makers of objectifying her.
According to Variety India, Janhvi Kapoor‘s project is untitled as of now. It will be backed by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment. The cast and crew will start shooting around October-November this year. There is no additional information yet regarding the storyline, genre and cast.
On the other hand, Umesh Bist will also be busy directing Pagglait 2 alternatively. It is the sequel to the 2021 Netflix film and Sanya Malhotra is expected to reprise her lead role as Sandhya. The second part will carry the story forward.
