New Sub-Registrar Office to be established in Mohanlalganj, UP cabinet descision

Lucknow ( Raghwendra Pratap Singh) :
The Yogi Cabinet has approved the proposal for the transfer of land for the construction of a new Sub-Registrar Office in Mohanlalganj, Lucknow district. This decision will enable residents of the area to access services related to the registration of land, buildings, marriages, lease agreements, gift deeds, and other documents in a more convenient and organized manner.
According to the Cabinet decision, a total of 953 square metres of land located in Village Mau, Pargana and Tehsil Mohanlalganj, will be transferred from the Revenue Department to the Stamp and Registration Department. A modern Sub-Registrar Office building will be constructed on this land, equipped with facilities such as a Sub-Registrar chamber, registration hall, record room, waiting area, drinking water facilities, and separate toilets for men and women.
The state government noted that the Stamp and Registration Department is one of the highest revenue-generating departments in Uttar Pradesh and registers nearly 5 million deeds annually.
Considering the growing population and increasing volume of registration work, the need for a new office had been felt for some time. The Cabinet also decided that the lease deed related to the transfer of the said land from the Revenue Department to the Stamp and Registration Department will be fully exempt from stamp duty and registration fees. This will simplify departmental procedures and facilitate the construction of the new office building.
